Daylight savings has just shifted and while we lost an hour, it is the sign that we are going to get some very much needed sun. Take this time to heal from the old and put your best skin forward. One skincare upgrade I did this past winter season was getting a killer moisturizer. My combination skin is fairly difficult to appease with each square footage having its own personality. The winter also brings bouts of dryness and if I’m really lucky I get rosacea and eczema. Tell me how I was applying lotion to my hands nonstop this winter? Where in previous years it seemed I would take that little tube-y package into the casket with me, this season I went through two hand creams in three months. Facial oils have grown in popularity over the past few years and for good reason. Facial oils can provide hydration, protect moisture from leaving the skin and can work for skin types that have typically struggled with dryness with other products in the past. Zenicure Rejuvenating Facial oil is an excellent option from Yuni Beauty. The Yuni Beauty Zenicure Rejuvenating Facial Oil firms, brightens and relaxes the skin with ingredients like Cannabis Sativa oil that is rich in Omega 6 and Omega 3, Paracress oil, and Madonna Lily oil. Their ingredients are also organic, cruelty-free, non-toxic, and sustainably sourced. It has a neutral scent that displays warming undertones of Sweet Almond and Patchouli. This plant-based facial oil is incredibly lightweight, removes dead skin or product residue, and leaves a lovely semi-matte finish.
I did have some help testing this oil who, quote, said “Yuni is so f***ing nice”. This oil is so light you could apply it several times and still never look or feel greasy. The only thing to note is that since the oil is so thin, the dropper dispenses the product rather quickly. Once you remove the dropper from the container, make sure you are careful about how far it is from where you are applying it so oil does not drip anywhere it shouldn’t be.

In our skincare routines, we sometimes forget about our eyelashes and eyebrows. A little extra help never hurts, and with the elements of nature along with the increase of allergies, I am looking forward to taking better care of my orbital region this season instead of viciously rubbing it to death. Remilia Hair Repair Duo
We absolutely cannot forget our hair in our winter beauty recovery routine. The Remilia Hair Repair Duo brings clarity and stability into an otherwise damaged life hair situation. The Remilia Repair Duo contains their Green Coco Hair Mask and their Cosmocap Daily Hair Serum. For crispy, brittle, dull hair, apply the mask on clean, damp hair and rinse after 5 to 10 minutes. Afterwards you apply the serum to dried hair ( towel or no ) starting from the end and moving up to the mid section. I also found the Cosmocap capsules to be perfect for travel. Their lightweight individually portioned amounts are great for bringing only what you need on a trip versus a whole bottle. And while you are perusing Remilia, I do want to add a shout-out to their humble Vegan Lush Brush. This hair brush has changed my life. Every single other hair brush, including those that claim to be de-tanglers, has seemingly ripped through my brittle hair but this one. The tiny mini-bristles surrounding the bigger ball-head bristles make it feel like my head is being massaged while it gently de-tangles my hair. Just goes to show sometimes it’s the simple items that become the real game-changer.

While you prep your skin for the warmer weather you may also want to reach for something to create silky smooth legs as well. One of my all time favorite hair removal products has been Schick Intuition. The ergonomic design combined with the all-in-one shaving moisturizing bar makes this a easy to use and effective.
While I do have a safety razor, with those you have to be careful of cutting yourself and shave slowly. Not great for rushing. I have never nicked myself using the Schick Intuition series, making it perfect for those extremely last minute change of plans.
