M. Parajanov Semi-Sweet Pomegranate Wine
Sergei Parajanov (1924-1990) was an acclaimed Armenian film director and considered one of the most influential and innovative filmmakers of the 20th century (“The Color of Pomegranates,” “Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors,” “The Legend of Suram Fortress”). The Color of Pomegranates has polled as one of the greatest films ever made. Parajanov Semi Sweet Pomegranate Wine is a tribute to that landmark film, using classic methods from Shahnur and Armenian Rose varietal pomegranates from Syunik Province of Armenia.
Old Bridge 2018 Easte reserve Areni Noir – Arpa Valley Armenia
This wine offers intensity, complex flavors, and lovely aromas. The powerful nose is comprised of dried black fruits, various spices, honey. smoke, and a gamey character with added notes of black pepper, coffee, and leather. Very elegant! This offers silky tannins and a long pleasant finish that pairs well with all red meats and aged cheese, and this stands up well to spicy foods. This wine combines more than 6100-year old Armenian traditions of viticulture with modern winemaking practices.
Voskeni 2019 Areni Dry Red Wine – Ararat Armenia
From the Armavir region and crafted with the Areni grape variety, this wine is full bodied with medium acidity that is really fruit forward and light in tannins. This is ideal for when you’re eating red meats, grilled fish, grilled poultry, and aged cheese. Flavors include plum, cherry, currant, strawberry, and sweet vanilla. This has a rich hue of violet red. The diverse Ararat valley microclimate offers unique consitions for cultivating exquisite grapes.
TUS 2021 Lalvari White Wine – Tavush Armenia
Tavush is located in the north of Armenia where viticulture and winemaking were traditional occupations of the inhabitants of this region since ancient times. In the early Middle Ages, up until the 8th century, the area was known as Tus. Lalvari is flavorful and pairs especially well with fish, ham, cheese, and vegetables.
