Nostalgia and Love ~ The Signorina by Salvatore Ferragamo

“What would you like to say?”

It’s a question that fragrances address amongst many material descriptors that we decide to adorn ourselves with. I find them to be one of the most personal choices an individual can make.

I myself am not typically a fruit-forward, floral person, opting for more masculine fragrances with notes of tobacco and sandalwood or unisex scents with oud and bergamot.

Which is why I was surprised to be pulled deep into the romantic dance that is the Signorina by Salvatore Ferragamo.

Launched in 2011, the Signorina by Salvatore Ferragamo is the quintessential scent for the modern woman. Bright, vibrant, and elegant, the Signora is meant to portray a young, stylish woman taking part in the love story of a young couple.

The Signorina creates the perfect picture of an energetic, happy woman of sophisticated Italian flare with a romantic floral sway. The pink pepper and black currant top notes add pep and frivolity. While the middle notes of rose, peony and jasmine encase the wearer in a shroud of floral sweet kisses. The base of the Signorina contains notes of panna cotta, musk and patchouli, grounding the experience in a wholesome embrace that warms the spirit and welcomes joy.

The Signorina is the perfect blend of sweet and floral. It never becomes too sweet and holds its own as a mature fragrance that is both fresh and bold. Sealed in a square glass bottle with iconic pink Vara bows, the Signorina resembles the woman it is made for with its golden sphere cap as the head, the bows the garment, and the jewelry box container as the vessel containing the wonders within.

The story told by the Signorina fragrance is quite lovely in a way that can ache the heart. I found myself swept away when trialing the scent on my wrist with 60’s Italian Jazz playing in the background. The timing could not have been any better. Again and again, I went back to my wrist, breathing in its scent. This signorina was reported to have “an unexpected addictiveness” and I have to say, I agree.

With its addictive, romantic nature, the Signorina makes the perfect fragrance for the woman who could never be forgotten and whose laughter warms the heart of golden memories. You can’t quite tame her. You can’t quite claim her. She is creative, passionate, and full of joy.

The Signorina is for the feminine flirtatious spirit, reflecting a confident, lively and experienced woman with a wild side. She makes the perfect addition to any collection, holding a firm spot for the hearts of the modern woman.
