There is something about trying new beauty products that feels like a little bit of Christmas every time.
Who cares that the holidays are over? 10pm in a poorly lit room with 1 lightbulb out on the ceiling light? Don’t matter. I still had my tea ready to go.
Not exactly your typical sunlit vibe to try Safa Body’s Lavandé oil. However, it was the moment needed to appreciate what this luxurious oil mix had to offer.
I tend to gravitate towards the oil beauty products for its silk feel on my skin, so I was quite excited to experience Safa’s take on it.
Immediately, I fell in love with the packaging. Elegant with subtle florals, the bottle itself shimmered enchantingly in the light. The purple text decal shined magenta when the light hit it and the glass bottle and dropper had a nice weighty feel.
The Lavande ( Lavender ) Oil is composed of Sweet Almond Oil, Apricot Oil, Moroccan Argan Oil, Lavender Oil and English Lavender petals. Sweet Almond Oil and Moroccan Argan Oil are known in the beauty world to be wonderful for hair and skin.
Time felt slower, seeing each drop of oil fall upon the back of my hand. Safa Body created the perfect combination of oils into a lightweight mixture. The oil starts off with a warming lavender fragrance that ends with a clear Apricot finish, sealing in the moment.
My skin had no issues absorbing the oil, which was unusual compared to beauty oils I have tried in the past.
The lavender infused fragrance can be applied to your entire body, hair and nails. My skin absolutely loved the oil. It felt moisturizing and left my skin with a subtle reflective sheen. With the cold weather bringing dry air from the heating, my skin has been suffering to stay moisturized. After trying Safa’s body oil, it honestly looked like my skin immediately drank the oil up.
How would this fair for hair though? I’ve tried hair oiling in the past and it heavily weighed it down so I was a bit hesitant to try this. But for the sake of Beauty News NYC readers, I had to give it a chance.
The oil felt great massaged into the scalp. Its formula was truly within the featherweight class. Light, bright, and indulgent delight. It almost felt like nothing was there. No weighing on the roots. No sticky, greasy feeling. Just that overall warmth the oil emitted.
