Hybrid fashion production house and fashion show producer Runway 7 showcased a collection of emerging and established designers to present their latest and greatest for Fall/Winter 2023 fashion. Their shows run in parallel to New York Fashion Week and with big names like Naeem Khan, Stephen Goudeau, Barbara Hulaniki and Susanne Bartsch, you know a three day fashion event from Runway 7 is going to be good.
This winter, February 2023, the selections were even greater than last time with a whopping 45+ designers this season. Runway 7 has definitely upped the game this year with the latest in teen and young adult fashion, swimwear, evening wear, street fashion, emerging designers to keep your eye on, and all with their core focus on philanthropy and giving back.
Philanthropy is a strong theme for Runway 7. They continuously donate to the Mount Sinai Corinne Goldsmith Dickinson Center for Multiple Sclerosis which to this date has amounted to $50,0000. Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disease and auto-immune disorder that impacts the central nervous system and is very debilitating to the human body. It affects many people in the United States and worldwide, and remains a core aspect of Runway 7’s mission.
This past NYFW, Runway 7 showcased more of their philanthropic efforts as well as their overall focus on promoting diversity, inclusion and change within the fashion industry.
Elysian Catwalk Furbaby Runway Show
Elysian founder Karen Floyd merged fashion and animals in their inaugural Catwalk Furbaby runway show. The event was hosted by Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin of Sohomuse with proceeds going to the Bissell Pet Foundation.
The collection showcased glamorous dresses, butterfly eye decals, and jackets with chain detailing and bold graphic prints. With each look, models were paired with rescue animals to walk the runway with their furry counterparts. The showcase also had celebrity judges hand awards out to select participating organizations.
The partnering animal organizations for the showcase were:
Friends of Williamson County Animal Center
Strong Island Animal Rescue League
Animal Advocates of Barnwell County
The winning organizations were Global Strays for the Judge’s Choice, Big Dog Ranch Rescue for People’s Choice and Danny & Ron’s Rescue for Publisher’s Choice.
Beautifully Diverse
Beautifully Diverse is a fashion initiative intended to promote a diverse representation of individuals in the fashion world. Their models for their Runway 7 showcase come from a variety of backgrounds, interests and accomplishments. The collection featured various casual ready-to-wear attire from different cultures.
The showcases of the weekend could not have happened without a huge backing to support it all. From the amazing selection of models from Famous Talent Management, the official makeup artist AMA , the official hair team Rogue House and the official model glam location Sicily Osteria. You also cannot have a production without food and water which was taken care of by catering partners Greek Eats and Ess-a-Bagel and hydration sponsor RX Water. Lastly, NYFW is about enjoying fashion in a party environment, which means you need a place to stay and a place to party. INNSIDE New York Nomad was the official Runway 7 NYC Hotel Partner and Me Cabo was the official vacation hotel partner. Nightclub venue MUSICA was the official after party partner and model casting venue for Runway 7.
